Ilaria Orefice

Modern singing teacher since 2011, active in the entire italian territory and on the web at Toronto, Moscow, Mexico, Japan. She studied and studies modern singing techniques with various international experts in Cagliari, Milan, Los Angeles. President and director of the musical and cultural company "L'urlo". Plays handpan, framedrum and studies drums. She begins her researches in the world of overtone singing in 2014, while studying the transformation processes that sound and music brings on body and mind levels. Later in 2016 after meeting the teacher Giovanni Bortoluzzi, she decides to co-found with him the Sherden Overtone Choir and the Sherden Overtone singing school. Along with Giovanni, she creates also the Four L's Method, which puts together overtone singing and modern singing in order to develop a teaching and composing tool. Nowadays, she is studying and researching traditional and ethnic forms of chant from various cultures, developing a deeper knowledge in overtone singing from a compositive point of view, learning from Tuvan and European masters.

Giovanni Bortoluzzi

Teacher and performer specialized in the art of Khöömei(Tuvan Throat Singing). His journey into music began by walking the paths of jazz, reggae and blues, where he played various instruments in many gigs. He studied theory and harmony with international musicians and by attending various jazz masterclasses. 

Later he began to learn overtone singing by himself until he met his masters from Tuva and Mongolia, from whom he learnt advanced techniques and styles of traditional throat singing. Meanwhile he learns how to build and play the fujara, an ancient overtone flute from Slovakia, making his own variants with diatonic and arabic scales. Then he became co-founder of the Sherden Overtone singing school after meeting the Singer and researcher Ilaria Orefice. In 2016 he creates the Four L's Method, a powerful tool to teach overtone singing, fully developed with the help of Ilaria Orefice whom with he teaches classes in the whole country and abroad, through web lessons and online courses.

RAPHAEL DE COCK

Throat Singer/Multi-instrumentalist


Raphael De Cock is a multi-instrumentalist and singer of traditional singing styles and he is involved in various Belgian as well as international music projects. He also regularly gives workshops and courses.

In 1991 he discovered the world of Tuvan throat singing, learning Khöömei styles (sygyt, khöömei, kargyraa) with masters like Huun Huur Tu, Chirgilchin, Andrey Mongush, Tyva Kyzy, Albert Kuvezin, Sainkho Namtchylak.

Since 2012 he sings the "a tenore" polyphony with the Belgo-Sardinian group Tenore Monte Arvu de Genk that grew out of the Muntagna Nera project.

Alessandro Sanna is born in 1988, he's a speech and language therapist specialized on vocal diseases in artistical and professional voice sectors. Since 2013 he treats vocal diseases as well as researching and developing new therapies, in collaboration with local, national and international professionals.

Dance Teacher

Dancer, choreographer and teacher graduated at M.I.D.A.S. and A.S.I. in oriental dancing styles, specialized in tribal fusion and fusion bellydance.

Since her early childhood she had been studying music, piano, classic dance, experiencing also poetry. She discovers oriental dance in 2004 and in 2007 she masters tribal fusion and ATS, deepening her knowledge and skills attending masterclasses in arabic music and dances, tribal fusion, ATS, Bharatanatyam, hip hop, flamenco, acting, contemporary dance and yoga. In 2011 she wons the first prize at the sardinian competition "Gran Premio Della Danza".

Nowadays she keeps on studying while researching new forms of expression from acting to dance, teaching, performing and taking part in cultural events all over Italy.
